In which we came really close to winning...

...but fell just short.

The Tornadoes beat us 12-4. We were ahead 4-2 going to the last inning, and out of nowhere they started beating the cover off the ball and before we knew what had happened they put 10 runs across the plate. Kristin pitched a great game, and the defense played well. They just got off the schneid and started hitting the ball right there at the end, darn it! We fall to 1-4. I played the whole game at catcher and avoided crashing into the pitcher this time, which is always a plus. I got on base all three times I came to the plate, but two of them were fielder's choices so officially I was 1-1.

We had a pretty good crowd cheering us on. There were a couple of sets of player parents and dogs in the crowd as well as other friends and family. Darlene and the kids came again, and Darlene's mom was there as well. She had her camera with her and took a couple of pics of the man himself in action behind the plate.





Foul Balls are the opponents next week. Hopefully we'll get a win!
